I am totally and completely in love with Washington’s Green Grocer.  A small mixed box is $32.50, and you can order it per week, bi-weekly, or “on demand” to be delivered to your door!

Yesterday we received our first box, and WOW was it PACKED with delicious fruits and veggies!

Our box contained:

• Several yukon gold potatoes
• 1 huge head of cauliflower (I made mashed cauliflower last night for dinner, it was a hit!)
• 2 zucchinis
• 2 cucumbers
• 1 large bag of fresh uncut green beans (I made green bean casserole for dinner also- DELICIOUS!)
• 1 large head of boston lettuce
• 1 container of grape tomatoes (perfect for salads!)
• 1 large cantaloupe
• 2 bosc pears
• 2 ginger gold apples
• 2 plumcots
• 1 small bushel of bananas (4)

I am so glad we were given the idea to try this.. it is absolutely worth $130/month, which is approximately what you would spend buying these at Whole Foods anyway, if not more!  And did I mention they are delivered to your door?!

Okay, enough of the advertisement.  But really, you should try it.
