Race Report: Just Du It Duathlon – Clarksville, TN

This weekend was the completion of my first race of the season, the Just Du It Duathlon at Beechaven Winery in Clarksville, TN.  The duathlon consisted of a 1.58 mile run, 15.5 mile bike, 1.58 mile run.  They had a 1-mile fun run, then a 10k, then the duathlon. 8/8/15 Got AT IT today on the bike.  Long ride day with nutrition practice.  GU (chocolate peanut butter) gel to start my ride, GU (salted caramel) at mile 7.  I should’ve pushed this second GU to around mile 9, then another at 20, which is about 40 minutes (as they say on the package).  Carried my aero bottle with just water and a bottle under me with Gatorade powder (orange…
