The Pohanka Nissan/Hyundai – YMCA Colonial Beach Sprint Triathlon was held this past weekend, on Saturday July 13th in Colonial Beach, VA. The start was at 6:50AM, so we had to leave home in Arlington at around 4:30am (way too early for this!). Today’s post is unfortunate and absolutely heart-breaking.  A group of people broke in my recently deceased uncle’s house on Kinzel Road in Winchester, VA this past weekend and stole the entirety of his coveted Danbury Mint and Franklin Mint die cast model car collection.  They also stole a 32″ Vizio HD TV without the remote, serial number ending in 6173 (we have the full number).  My entire family is devastated…

DONE friends, DONE. This past weekend was the Charlottesville Marathon/Half Marathon/8K/Kids Mile in the downtown area of Charlottesville, Virginia.  My running partner and I have been training for about 4 months for the Half Marathon, which is 13.1 miles of rolling Charlottesville terrain.
