This morning is beautiful! So far in the camp we’ve seen baboons (TONS), white-tailed mongrels, monkeys, hippos (which really freak me out!), crocodiles, elephants, and lots of strange birds. Last night I got pretty freaked out because the hippos and elephants walk around outside the chalets at night, so you’re not allowed outside when it`s dark out without a guard. Apparently both hippos and elephants are SUPER dangerous in Zambia, so if you run in to one in the wild you better have some luck! The group went out to the bar for liquor and Mosi (the local beer) last night, and on the way back we almost ran in to an elephant! It’s so bizarre, but the greatest thing.
